To help fill the need the La Jolla Garden Club will be collecting food for the Salvation Army at our November meeting. Please donate nutritious, non-perishable food (no glass containers).
The Salvation Army Citadel Corps on Balboa Ave. in Clairemont has seen a 1,200% increase this year of families, seniors and homeless who have asked for their help.
Some suggestions are; canned meats, canned vegetables and fruit, canned or dried soups, dried beans, rice pasta,
and packaged breakfast items. New items needed this year for families are baby food, formula and diapers. If you cannot make it to the meeting you can drop off food at Natalie’s home, 1877 Malden St. in Pacific Beach.
